The reading inbox
Turn a saved reference into a consistent note, ready for your own thinking.
Saved reading often loses the reason it was interesting. A lightweight intake process keeps the source and your question together.
When a new reference lands in a local reading inbox, the script reads the title, author, and source supplied by the reader, validates the required fields and creates a stable filename, then generates a Markdown note with space for a question and a takeaway.
The result is a structured note ready to annotate. This sample does not fetch websites, access accounts, or run in the background.
To set it up, define the fields you want to keep and a destination folder. Preserve supplied source references and avoid overwriting existing notes. No source repository is attached to this sample.
